About Jon Caster, MD

Dr. Jon Caster is a fellowship-trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon and board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been serving the Nacogdoches community since 2000 with a commitment to exceptional surgical care and aesthetic excellence.

As a subspecialist in oculofacial plastic surgery, Dr. Caster combines expertise in cosmetic, functional, and reconstructive procedures affecting the eyelids, brows, eye socket, and surrounding facial structures. His extensive background in comprehensive ophthalmology provides him with a distinct advantage: an intimate understanding of how surgical intervention affects vision and ocular function. This depth of knowledge allows him to diagnose and manage complex conditions while achieving natural, harmonious results that respect the delicate anatomy around the eyes.

Dr. Caster addresses a wide spectrum of concerns, from droopy eyelids and excessive tearing to facial aging and skin cancers on the eyelids and face. His surgical arsenal includes cosmetic and functional blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, brow lift, repair of eyelid malpositions (such as entropion and ectropion), tear drain reconstruction, and removal of skin cancer with reconstruction. Beyond surgery, he offers sophisticated nonsurgical options including BOTOX® (which he has administered for both aesthetic and functional purposes since 1995), dermal/subdermal fillers such as Juvederm®, which Dr. Caster began using prior to their approval in the United States, and Morpheus radiofrequency facial skin resurfacing and tightening. All procedures are performed by Dr. Caster. No procedures are delegated to other allied health practitioners or injectors.

Before establishing his private practice, Dr. Caster served with distinction in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon and aerospace ophthalmologist. Commissioned as an officer in 1987, he served as a member of the USAF Aeromedical Consultation Service and Chief of the USAF Medical Flight Screening Program. His military service earned him the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, USAF Organizational Excellence Award, and USAF Longevity Service Award.

Dr. Caster maintains active membership in the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His dedication to his patients and the East Texas community is reflected in every procedure he performs, whether restoring function, enhancing appearance, or rebuilding confidence.
